Celluloid Dreams sets off to Venice and Toronto

Good business seems in store for French international sales agency Celluloïd Dreams, as it sets off well-prepared for the 69th Venice Film Festival (from August 29 to September 8) and Toronto Film Festival (September 6 to 16). (photo - co-produced by Parisian outfit Babe Films) and Japanese director Takeshi Kitano’s Outrage Beyond. Both films are also to be screened in Toronto as part of its Special Presentations.

At Venice’s first Film Market, Celluloïd Dreams is also to sell Japanese director Koji Wakamatsu’s The Millennial Rapture, a film that has made it to the Official Selection in the Orizonti section. In Toronto, the title will be presented to potential buyers at one of its Industry Screenings.

Also in the Celluloïd Dreams line-up is Daniel Algrant’s Greetings From Tim Buckley, an American film to make its international premiere at Toronto’s Special Presentations. Carlos Sorin’s Gone Fishing, an Argentinian feature, is to have its world premiere in the Canadian festival’s Contemporary World Cinema section before competing at the 60th San Sebastian Film Festival (from September 21 to 29), while Australian production Satellite Boy by Catriona McKenzie is to make its international premiere in Toronto's Discovery section. A sixth film sold by Celluloïd Dreams has also been selected for the Canadian festival: French director Jacques Audiard’s Cannes competitor Rust & Bone [+see also:

that is to make its North American premiere as part of the festival’s Special Presentations.

Finally, Celluloïd Dreams is to unveil Tom Shkolnik’s British comedy drama The Comedian starring Edward Hogg, and German filmmaker Thomas Riedelsheimer’s documentary Breathing Earth at Toronto’s Industry Screenings.
