Thanks to this agreement, Aurum has consolidated itself as the Spain's main distributor for independent cinema, and has ensured its access to a commercial product of great potential made outside the big studios of Hollywood. The agreement also marks a step forward for Lionsgate in creating an international distribution chain made up of preferred partners in all the world’s major territories.

“This new agreement has given us access to some of the most commercial and exciting films in the world, which is why we are delighted to continue growing in our valuable story with Summit, as we begin this new and exciting association with the whole of the Lionsgate family,” said Jorge Vázquez and Igor Ibeas, general director and assistant director at Aurum.

As a result of the deal, Aurum is to distribute Lionsgate’s next three films in Spain: The Hunger Games (photo), as well as Summit titles Breaking Dawn: Part 2 and Red 2.
