Created in 2007, the LUX Prize, is the European Parliament's cinema prize. It has two aims: to enhance public debate about and on European Union policies and to provide support for the distribution of European co-productions.

Since its creation, the filmography of the LUX Prize has contributed to enhancing various landscapes and environments. It has highlighted the different human and social situations encountered in everyday life. “The films selected for this 6th edition, follow these themes and seek to address issues that affect our societies. Just the Wind deals with discrimination targeting the Roma minority, Shun Li and the Poet looks at immigration and the conflict between community traditions and individual aspirations and Tabu focuses on the state of the world and, within that, the state of our emotional intimacy,” according to the official press release of the LUX Prize.

LUX FILM DAYS This year thanks to the LUX FILM DAYS these three films will be screened in all 27 countries of the European Union and subtitled in the 23 languages of the Union. In total, more than 40 European cities across Europe.
