Two films to edit for Quentin Dupieux
- The very original director of Rubber and Wrong has just finished shooting Wrong Cops and Réalité
The extravagant Quentin Dupieux (photo - also known in the music world as Mr Oizo) now has two features to edit. Last week, the director of Steak [+see also:

film profile] (competed in the World Dramatic section at Sundance 2012) finished shooting his fifth feature: Réalité (lit. "Reality"). He had previously also finished shooting his fourth feature, Wrong Cops, a film seven chapters long whose first instalment was unveiled at the last Directors' Fortnight.
Shot in 25 days in California, mostly in French, Réalité stars Alain Chabat (Houba! On the Trail of the Marsupilami [+see also:
film profile]), Jonathan Lambert (Love Lasts Three Years [+see also:
film profile]), Elodie Bouchez (Happy Few [+see also:
film profile]), and American actor Jon Heder. Written by the director, the screenplay tells three stories that intertwine and represent three degrees of reality... A little 8-year-old girl (called Reality) finds a mysterious video cassette. Her desire to see it rapidly tuns into an obsession. As for Jason (Alain Chabat), a failed filmmaker, he manages to persuade Bob (Jonathan Lambert), a crooked producer, to finance his first horror film. Despite the advice of his wife Alice (Elodie Bouchez), a psychiatrist, Jason progressively loses the plot and starts to confuse dreams with reality. Finally, Denis, an out-of-date television presenter, suddenly loses his confidence because of an imaginary skin disease. He then develops a feeling of being persecuted and loses his points of reference.
Produced by Grégory Bernard and Diane Jassem for Realitism Films, Réalité notably benefits from an advance on receipts from the National Film and Moving Image Centre (CNC) and from the support of Sofica Banque Postale Image and Manon. Diaphana is to be in charge of the film's distribution in France, and the film's production company is to handle its international sales. The film is to be ready in spring 2013.
As for Wrong Cops, also produced by Realitism Films, it's a comedy about "deranged" cops. The film is to star Mark Burnham, Eric Judor, Steve Little, Marilyn Manson, and Grace Zabriskie.
