Creative England adds board members

by

- Games maven Jeff Coghlan and finance expert Erica Ingham join

Creative England has appointed games guru Jeff Coghlan and finance director Erica Ingham to its board. Coghlan founded Matmi in 2001. The global success of his online game, Monster Poolside Sumo, led him to work with brands including United Airlines, EMI, Vimto, ASDA, ITV and Parlophone.

Ingham is the owner of a Manchester-based company that provides portfolio finance director services for media and technology companies in the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) sector. She has held several Finance Director and Head of Finance roles within media having worked for BBC Radio, MTV, 20th Century Fox and for Chello Media as Head of Finance for their Video on Demand European division.

Creative England’s Chief Executive, Caroline Norbury, said, “Jeff and Erica join us at a particularly exciting time. It is fantastic for us to have someone with Jeff’s experience on the board so that we can shape our support to offer these SMEs the help they need to realise their creative ambitions.”

“Access to finance is one of the issues most often reported as hindering the growth of SMEs in the creative digital sector. That’s why we’re especially delighted to have someone with Erica’s background and skills so that we can address these problems and advise small companies on the best way forward for them,” Norbury added.
