Filming kicks off in Trentino for Segre’s La prima neve

Filming has started in Trentino for Andrea Segre’s (photo) latest film La prima neve, with Anita Caprioli, Jean-Christophe Folly, Matteo Marchel and Giuseppe Battiston. Production is being supported by the Trentino Film Commission.

Last Tuesday, Andrea Segre, a 2011 revelation director, was awarded the European Parliament LUX award for his first feature length film Io sono lì [+see also:

. The LUX is an award given every year to a film which is considered to best represent fundamental aspects of values tied to European identity, European diversity and offers a vision for the way in which Europe itself is shaping itself.

La prima neve was written by Andrea Segre with Marco Pettenello and is being produced by Francesco Bonsembiante and Marco Paolini with la Jole Film. The film tells the story of the meeting between an eleven-year-old (Matteo Marchel), who has a difficult relationship with her mother (Anita Caprioli), and a Libyan boy (Jean-Christophe Folly).
