Couscous Island by Francesco Amato and Stefano Scarafia, and Slow Food Story by Stefano Sardo are the two Italian documentaries to have been selected to take part in the 7th edition of Culinary Cinema. The Berlinale event is dedicated to the relationship between food and the environment and will take place from February 10-15 at the Martin-Gropius-Bau.
Slow Food Story follows the story of the movement, founded by Carlo Petrini, who, on February 13, will hold a lecture entitled "The Political Gardner."
Sixteen films will be presented in the section, following a motto "Dig Your Food From Field to Fork." Chefs Nils Henkel, Michael Hoffmann, Kolja Kleeberg, Hendrik Otto and Tim Raue will prepare dinners inspired by the films at the Gropius Mirror restaurant.
