Debutant writer/director Anthony Wilcox has commenced a four-week shoot at London locations on romantic comedy Hello Carter. Carter has hit rock bottom. In the space of a year he’s become homeless, single and unemployed in London. Carter wants to sort things out, starting with tracking down his elusive ex-girlfriend Kelly. A chance meeting on the underground with Kelly’s brother Aaron – a B-list American actor – provides just the opportunity Carter needs.

Julian Bird from JLB Productions produces alongside producer Fiona Neilson. Bankside Films is handling exclusive worldwide sales. Michael Winterbottom and Andrew Eaton from Revolution Films are on board as executive producers.

Wilcox said, “It’s incredibly exciting for me to be directing my first feature film in London with the support of such a talented and experienced cast and crew. Julian and Fiona have done a phenomenal job in moving the project forward to this point.”

Stephen Kelliher from Bankside Films added, “We have absolute belief in Anthony’s ability to bring Hello Carter to the big screen and we believe that he will do so with a unique and refreshing style. This highly original romantic comedy will speak to audiences internationally through clever and witty storytelling, which never loses sight of romance at its heart. Anthony, Julian and Fiona have attracted an incredible cast and we are delighted to be working with them.”
