- Spaceship, The Den, The Goob on development slate

Norfolk, to be directed by Martin Radich (Crack Willow), is the first feature chosen from the iFeatures2 development slate to go into production this summer. iFeatures2 is a low-budget production initiative between Creative England, BFI Film Fund and BBC Films. Finlay Pretsell (Pablo’s Winter) will produce. Norfolk is the story of an assassin and his young son hiding out in a rural idyll. As the man’s past starts to catch up with him, he is forced to confront what is right and what is wrong.

Three more projects, Alax Taylor’s Spaceship, Al Mackay’s The Den and Guy Myhill’s The Goob, are on the iFeatures2 development slate. Two of these three will go into production after Norfolk, the decision about which two being due in late March.

Tristan Goligher, iFeatures2 Executive Producer, said, “Martin is without a doubt one of the most original filmmakers in the UK today. Norfolk shows all the individuality and humanity of his previous work, whilst also stepping into new territory. The landscape of the Norfolk broads will serve Martin’s vision for this unique, violent and allegorical tale.”

All greenlit filmmakers will benefit from an programme of professional development support, courtesy of the Creative Skillset’s Film Skills Fund. This includes workshops, high-level industry mentoring and shadowing opportunities as well as guidance around sales, distribution and online marketing.
