While No 1 on the Finnish charts, Vuoksenmaa will Click Me again

- Johanna Vuoksenmaa, whose 21 Ways to Ruin a Marriage has taken 173,767 admissions domestically, is ready for another season of her TV series on online dating

For the third consecutive week, Johanna Vuoksenmaa’s 21 Ways to Ruin a Marriage (photo) is No 1 on the Finnish charts, taking 33,578 admissions over the weekend, to total 173,765 as a Nordisk Film release.

Starring Armi Toivanen, Riku Nieminen, Essi Hellen and Aku Hirvieniemi, the multi-award-winning television director’s third feature portrays a 29-year-old woman, who has decided to remain single and tries to make science out of her phobia of 'commitment', writing her dissertation entitled X Ways to Ruin Your Marriage – that is until she meets Aleksi.

After a successful first season on MTV3, Vuoksenmaa’s Click Me TV serial, a comedy-drama about divorced and single people seeking a partner in the world of on-line dating, has received €90.000 production funding from the Finnish Film Foundation for a second spell. As with 21 Ways to Ruin a Marriage, the €1.7 million production will be staged by Riina Hyytiä, for Helsinki’s Dionysos Films.

Another three Finnish features are currently among the local strong box-office performers, including No 4 on the charts, Rolli and the Golden Key, by Finnish director Taavi Vartia. The family adventure has till now sold 149,928 tickets domestically in three weeks for Nordisk Film.
