18/03/2013 - Event explores relationship between audience and content in the digital age

Film Distributors’ Association President Lord Puttnam (photo), Director of BFI Film Fund Ben Roberts and Ridley Scott Associates’ Managing Director Kai Lu Hsiung will be amongst several industry experts who will speak at Film Agency Wales’ event Audience Connect at Cardiff on April 19. Film professionals will consider the changing relationship between audience and content in an on-demand, digital age.

Film Agency Wales Chair Michael Gubbins said, “The Film Agency for Wales is delighted to welcome speakers of international importance to talk about some of the most vital questions for the future of film and the wider media. We believe that the opportunities of a rapidly evolving digital world lie in understanding, and changing, the relationship between film and the audience, and we believe Wales can play a leading role in this new world.”

Film education practitioners from across Wales’ Film Education Network and film festival and cinema managers participating on the Cinovate training programme, as devised by Skillset Media Academy Wales, are all attending.
