According to our information, six weeks of filming will begin in Lyon on April 23rd for Sophie Fillières’ 5th feature film: Arrête ou je continue. After Grande Petite (1993), Aïe (out of competition in Locarno in 2000), Gentille (Contemporary World Cinema section in Toronto in 2005) and Pardon my French [+see also:

film profile] (Forum at the Berlinale 2009), the filmmaker this time directs a love-story played by two of France’s best actors: Mathieu Amalric (César for Best Actor in 2005 and 2008, currently filming Amour crime parfait by the Larrieu brothers, and whom we hope to see soon in Cannes in Jimmy Picard and Venus in Fur) and Emmanuelle Devos (photo - César for Best Actress in 2002 and Best Actress in a Supporting Role in 2010, in theatres on April 10th with Le temps de l’aventure, and recently playing in La vie domestique and Violette Leduc). The two actors have already worked together, notably for Arnaud Desplechin in A Christmas Tale [+see also:

Written by Sophie Fillières, the screenplay focuses on the characters of Pomme and Pierre who can no longer bear being two, and these two in particular. They are totally inflexible and with their constant bickering, it becomes a real dilemma ! On a long walk, Pomme has no other choice than to stay and live in the forest...
