The managing director of RAI Cinema Paolo Del Brocco (photo) has been confirmed in his position as head of the public company, following a proposal to the effect by Rai general director, Luigi Gubitosi. Nicola Claudio was named president, Costanza Esclapon, Vincenzo Mollica and Camillo Rossotto council members. Giuseppe Sturiale is to be general director.
“The renewed confirmation will allow us to continue along the path the company has been taking over the last few years,” Del Brocco told Cineuropa. "Rai Cinema will continue to accompany independent producers towards the realization of their films and will continue to intervene in the distribution activities with targeted agreements, offering the Italian public some quality international films too. This will enable the 01 Distribution list, composed of almost 90% Italian films, to reach maximum visibility.”
