The theme of last year’s inaugural festival was great Irish writers in cinema and this year the focus is on Irish animation with more than 40 animated features and shorts being screened. Ireland’s animation sector is booming and in many cases, Irish companies work with Indian partners including Chennai-based Animantz, DSK Group, Pune, and Mumbai’s Maya Entertainment Limited.

Festival director, Marc-Ivan O’Gorman, who has worked in television and film in India for 10 years, said, “These films will do what Irish art, indeed what Irish people do best, they will both charm and challenge.”

This festival is presented by Cleverality Productions with the support of The Embassy of Ireland India, The Irish Film Institute, and Culture Ireland.
