23/04/2013 - Writers and producers are invited to develop scripts for theatrical release

Writers and producers with scripts in English or German can apply to participate in the 13th éQuinoxe Europe International Screenwriters′ Workshop & Master Class, which will take place in October in Germany. The deadline for submissions is May 24.

The selection criterias include that the writers have already produced a feature-length film - they are asked to bring a screenplay in English or German language that is written for the cinema and is still in development to the workshop - the script must have a producer attached.

An international jury will select ten talented screenwriters to join the one-week éQuinoxe workshops. In one-to-one discussions, ten advisors will share their knowledge and experiences with the European writers. The experts are internationally renowned and experienced writers, directors and producers such as Jacques Audiard, Jean-Jacques Beneix, Andrew Birkin and Serguei Bodrov, who have acted as advisors in the past.

The invitation to this one-week workshop covers travel, accomodation and food for the writers. The producers have to attend the end of the workshop. The producers are invited by éQuinoxe as well, but will not receive remunaration for their travel costs. Online applications may be made at the éQuinoxe website.
