The explosive power of Doctor Proctor

In the German city of Erfurt, Norwegian comedy director Arild Fröhlich (Fatso, Pitbullterje) has begun filming the children's movie Doktor Proktor's Pupspulver (Doctor Proctor's Fart Powder) which is based on the same-named book by internationally renowned author Jo Nesbø. The story focuses on a crazy inventor who is very proud of his latest achievement - his fart powder is so strong that it can be used for a rocket propulsion. While his friends are enthusiastic about this invention there are other kind types who are more interested in this explosive powder.

The script was penned by Johan Bogaeus who also wrote the children's film En häxa i familjen. The title role is played by Kristoffer Joner whose credits include King of Devil's Island [+see also:

and Gymnaslærer Pedersen. The filmmaker Arild Fröhlich is shooting the picture in Germany until May 7. Afterwards, the team will move to Oslo, where Doctor Proctor's Fart Powder will wrap at the end of June.

As a German-Norwegian co-production, it is produced by  Senator Film Köln and Tradewind Pictures. The production of this family entertainment film is backed by the Norwegian Film Institute (NFI), the German Federal Film Board, the German Federal Film Fund (DFFF), Central German Media Fund (MDM) and Baden-Württemberg media and film company (MFG).

In Germany, the film will be distributed by Senator Filmverleih while Nordisk Film handles the international rights.
