Presided by Portuguese director Miguel Gomes, the jury of the 52nd Critics' Week at the 66th Cannes Film Festival awarded the Grand Prix 2013 to Salvo by Italian filmmakers Fabio Grassadonia and Antonio Piazza (read the review and interview of the directors). Better still, the film also won the Revelation Prize, whose jury was presided by French director Mia Hansen-Løve. Produced by the Italian companies Acaba Produzioni and Cristaldi Pictures, Salvo is coproduced by France via Mact Productions and Cité Films. In the running for the Grand Prix, a special mention went to the Argentinian film Los dueños by duo Agustín Toscano - Ezequiel Radusky.
