He will attempt to win the Independent Camera, the main prize in this category.

La Tendresse tells the story of a couple, played by Olivier Gourmet and Maryline Canto, who have been separated for fifteen years, and who are reunited during a 2-day trip to go get their son who is in hospital abroad after a serious skiing accident.

As for Flemish director Felix van Groeningen, he will be one of the "Variety’s 10 Euro Directors to Watch".
