Of the 10 films of the Official Selection, there will be 3 finalists to be announced in Rome on July 23.

The European Parliament will subtitle these 3 films into 24 official languages of the European Union and screen them in all the 28 EU countries within the LUX FILM DAYS. The aim is to make accessible these films and their diversity to all, and to encourage discussions on themes of shared interest together with other European citizens.

The LUX Prize 2013 Winner will then be awarded by the European Parliament in December 2013 in Strasbourg. The laureate film will be made available also for visually and hearing impaired.
