(read the review) by French director Justine Triet. An attraction of the ACID selection at the last Cannes Film Festival, this first feature film played by Laetitia Dosch and Vincent Macaigne focuses on two separated parents fighting over custodial rights in the midst of the Parisian effervescence surrounding the second round of the Presidential election, on May 6th, 2012. Produced by Emmanuel Chaumet for Ecce Films with a budget of 840,000 euros including an advance on receipts from the CNC and a pre-purchase by Ciné+, La bataille de Solférino will be distributed in France by Shellac on September 18th.
