Not The Last Time for Ireland

- The Last Time by Conor Horgan is one of the seven short films selected to take part in the next edition of Critics' Week. It was released in Ireland by 20th Century Fox

The Irish award-winning short film, The Last Time has been selected as one of seven short films to screen at this year’s Critics Week which runs parallel with the Cannes Film Festival (14-25 May).
Written and directed by Conor Horgan and starring Linda Bassett (East Is East), the film tells the story of a woman in her fifties who on hearing she may not have long to live, goes out looking for love in all the wrong places.
Produced by Noreen Donohoe (Zanita Films), it was part of the 2002 Short Cuts Scheme supported by the Irish Film Board and public broadcaster RTE.
The Last Time was released in Ireland on 31 January by 20th Century Fox together with the feature film, The Banger Sisters. It won the UIP Best Director Award premiered at the last Cork Film Festival, the Jameson Award for Best Irish Short, and was recently named runner-up in the Best Writer category at the Fuji Film/TAPS Awards in London.
