Croatia goes cross-media

Europe is definitely taking the Transmedia turn as multi-platform events and workshops are popping up in almost every state members. Croatia's next with the first edition of its Transmedia workshop aiming at professionals of the a/v sector.

Croatia goes cross-media is a three-day intensive programme for European audiovisual professionals - authors and producers. The workshop will offer an extensive introduction into developing creative and business skills required to produce, finance and distribute a successful cross-media story that can span through multiple platforms, unite the various industries and engage with today’s audiences.

In co-operation with MEDIA Desk Croatia and supported by Croatian audiovisual centre, the workshop will be held during the 4th Avvantura summer film festival in Zadar, 26th-29th of August, 2013.

The workshop will bring together experienced professionals from different industries throughout Europe. Participants will learn from acclaimed authors and cross media experts through a combination of group work, one-to-one meetings, case studies, presentations and experts in the development of their own projects in cooperation with the mentor participants.

Experts including:

Nuno Bernardo (beActive), Emmy nominated transmedia writer, producer and the creator of the world's first international interactive on-line teen series, Sofia's Diary. He is the author of "The Producer's Guide to transmedia".

Esther Wouda (Gloworm Film) is an experienced independent script coach, script editor, writer and producer. Esther's own company Gloworm Film, founded in 2008, aims to develop and produce enlightening feature films of high quality and international appeal.

Irena Krcelic is a writer with twelve years of experience in working in TV and film. In Croatia, her name has been associated with cross-platform projects for more than a decade, establishing her as one of the very rare regional professionals working on both sides of the creative audiovisual production.
