Produced by Big Sur with MAD Entertainment and distributed in Italy by the Luce Cinecittà Institute starting end of October, The Art of Happiness tells the story of a 40-year-old taxi driver in a dilapidated Naples. The director describes it as “exaggerated, the embryo of an apocalypse, but it is especially a problem of individual perception.”

“We made the film thanks to a great deal of passion,” producer and co-writer of the script Luciano Stella said. “Because animation is very big on an international level. All you need to do is think of Pixar, DreamWorks and our unattainable inspiration the Studio Ghibli. Thanks to a democracy of means, we decided to become a true factory that works for television, like for 'La cantata dei pastori' (The Shepherds’ Song, RaiUno), and for independent cinema with animation for adults, coming on the heels of others such as Persepolis and Belleville".
