Sir Christopher Lee to be conferred BFI Fellowship
- BFI London Film Festival juries announced, Lone Scherfig, Jim Broadbent, Cillian Murphy amongst jurors

Following his BAFTA Fellowship in 2011, the British Film Institute (BFI) will bestow a BFI Fellowship, the highest honour the BFI can accord, on veteran actor Sir Christopher Lee (photo) at the 2013 BFI London Film Festival Awards on October 19. BFI Chief Executive Amanda Nevill said, “The BFI Fellowship is awarded to those at the pinnacle of their profession. It is a truly illustrious moment to be honouring Sir Christopher Lee for his enormous and unique contribution to film during a Festival that is committed to excellence.”
The Festival has also announced its awards jurors. President of the Best Film Jury is film critic Philip French, alongside director Lone Scherfig, visual artist Stan Douglas, actress Miranda Richardson, author Deborah Moggach and cinematographer Rodrigo Prieto.
Presiding over the jury for The Sutherland Award for debut film is producer Elizabeth Karlsen alongside actress Emilia Fox, director Susanna White, and actors Jim Broadbent and Stephen Dillane.
Jury president for the Best British Newcomer Award is producer Amanda Posey, and fellow jurors include director Tom Kingsley, actor Cillian Murphy, and actresses Saoirse Ronan, Gina McKee and Joanne Froggatt.
Producer Kate Ogborn presides over the Grierson Award for Best Documentary jury and is joined by the Commissioning Editor at Sky, Chris Wilson, cinema programmer for City Screen, Chris Harris, BBC newsreader Sophie Raworth and CEO of Renegade Pictures, Alex Cooke.
