09/10/2013 - British outfit takes on worldwide distribution rights for thriller by Will Koopman, starring Tjitske Reidinga

UK sales company High Point Films and TV has acquired worldwide distribution rights for Renovation [+see also:

film profile], directed by Will Koopman (The Dark House). Based on the bestselling novel by Saskia Noort, Renovation follows an ambitious plastic surgeon struggling to meet the rising costs of her fledgling business who finds herself drawn into a dangerous world of adultery and extortion by a wealthy former lover. Tjitske Reidinga, known for her role as Claire in Endemol’s hit TV series about rich housewives, Gooische Vrouwen, stars.

Column Film (Netherlands) produced, with Grobbendonk Films (Belgium), Mollywood (Belgium), Talpa Fictie (Netherlands) and Skyline Entertainment (Belgium) as co-producers. Entertainment One Benelux in the Netherlands and Starway Film Distribution in Belgium released the film in those territories in autumn 2012 and the film collected more than €2 million at the box office. This is the fourth title High Point has acquired from Column after Deal, 06/05 [+see also:
