The LUX Film Days will travel across Europe for the second year

- The three films in competition will be screened in 44 cities of the member states and the winner will be announced in Strasbourg in December
For the second year, thanks to the LUX FILM DAYS, each country of the European Union will be able to see what the LUX Prize has to offer. The three films in competition for the award, selected for their power to “air different views on some of the main social and political issues of the day” and their contribution to “building a stronger European identity,” will travel across the continent visiting 44 cities of the member states. From their first stop, in Cork on October 20, to the last, in Bologna, in mid-December, the initiative will seek to support public debate as well as promote the circulation of the European productions.
The LUX Prize will also launch a Public Mention, which will be announced at next year’s Karlovy Vary Film Festival (July 2014) after collecting the people’s vote.
