3D Content Financing Market goes worldwide

The 3D Stereo Media international summit, which takes place every year in Liège, will host the 3D Content Financing Market again. The market’s third edition, which will run from December 4 to 5, will be dedicated to projects with stereoscopic-3D (S-3D) content. This year’s edition will feature presentations, discussions, pitching sessions and organized meetings, and, for the first time, it will expand its focus from European to worldwide.

The market is the world’s only international coproduction and financing market fully dedicated to S-3D projects, focusing on the ones with significant international sales potential. Education and business facilitation are the two biggest missions of the event, which will be open to theatrical projects with budgets of at least 500,000€.

The 3DFM’s professional jury has selected 15 projects from filmmakers coming from all over the world in order to be presented to a panel composed of invited financiers, potential coproducers and sales agents. The selection will include fiction projects such as Dylan Pearce’s 40 Below and Falling (Canada), Grzegorz Korczak’s Heart Core (Poland), Simone Orliani’s North Pole (Germany, UK), Fabien Remblier’s Ambulance 13 (France), Ferran Audí’s Catalan Cream (Spain), Raza Mallal’s Apocalyptic Warrior (UK), Axel Weimer’s Unbounded (Germany, China), Simon Foster’s The Darkness (UK), Andrew Dymond’s Spacers (UK) and Gilles Stassart’s Inside a Fried Chicken (France).

There will also be documentaries such as Alla Kovgan’s Cunningham 3D (United States), Ciro Cappellari’s Deep in the Forest (Germany) and James Erskine’s Le Mans: 3D (United Kingdom), an experimental piece, Edgar Pêra’s Amazed Spectator (Portugal), and an animation film, Vincent Van Dog (Netherlands, Belgium).

The jury is composed of film professionals and representatives from Belgium, Austria, the UK, Germany and France. They will also select the Best Pitch Award winner, which will be unveiled during the 3D Stereo Media Awards Ceremony on December 6.

The market is still open for registration for producers, sales agents, technicians and other interested participants through their website (early bird registration ends on November 16).
