The Sundance Film Festival (January 16-26, 2014) is turning 30 and as always Europe is richly represented in the World Cinema Dramatic and Documentary competitions. There are two British films in the Dramatic competition, Stuart Murdoch’s God Help The Girl [+see also:

European selections in the World Cinema Documentary competition include Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard’s 20,000 Days On Earth (UK), Göran Hugo Olsson’s Concerning Violence (Sweden/US/Denmark/Finland), Nadav Schirman’s The Green Prince (Germany/Israel/UK), Thomas BalmèsHappiness (France/Finland), Tessa Louise-Salomé’s Mr leos caraX (France), Tony Gerber and Maxim Pozdorovkin’s The Notorious Mr. Bout (US/Russia), Talal Derki’s The Return To Homs (Syria/Germany), Berit Madsen’s SEPIDEH – Reaching for the Stars (Denmark) and Hubert Sauper’s We Come As Friends [+see also:

In all, 118 features are selected, representing 37 countries.
