Cineuropa's TOP 5 European Short Films of 2013
by Cineuropa
- Discover the ranking of the best 2013 shorts films by Cineuropa's journalist and partnerss

December is a month of rankings and for many cinematographic information websites, it is time to determine the best films of the past year. Cineuropa didn’t miss out on this tradition and publishes, as well as its TOP 5, selections of European films picked by each member of its editorial team (see the Cineuropa Top 5 for the 2013 Best European Films).
This year, we wanted to do more and asked journalists as well as experts in the field from all over Europe for a TOP 5 of 2013 European short films.
The initiative aims at paying tribute to a format – short films – which is able in a few minutes to tell a story, send messages, represent people, countries, ideologies, and account for the diversity and richness of European cinematography.
Mindful of giving more visibility to shorts, Cineuropa has decided to launch a new platform, a website dedicated to European short films. Following the example of our main site, which will remain accessible at www.cineuropa.org, this new platform will present films and publish interviews, stories from festivals and news, as well as European shorts, of course!
Cineuropa Shorts will be online in a few weeks so stay tuned!
