A much appreciated personality in the French cinema landscape, Manuel Alduy leaves his position as director of cinema for Canal+, which he had been occupying since February 2008 (after over two years in charge of purchases for French films) to become head of the new OTT (Over-the-top content) division for the group.

Continuity is guaranteed as Nathalie Coste Cerdan, who takes over from Manuel Alduy, is far from a nobody at Canal+ since she was firstly deputy cinema director before heading the Ciné+ channels (ex CinéCinémas) from November 2005 to May 2012 when she became responsible for the cinema thematic centre (including amongst others Ciné+ and VoD).

As the main financier behind French productions, Canal+ pre-purchased 122 films in 2013 for a total amount of 157 M€ in investments.
