were frontrunners for the Robert awards – Denmark’s national film prize – but after last night’s gala in Copenhagen’s Tivoli Hotel & Congress Centre, Vinterberg left with seven statuettes and Nørgaard with none.

Having already won 18 international prizes and earned an Oscar nomination for Best Foreign-Language Feature, The Hunt was awarded for Best Film and Best Original Screenplay (Vinterberg, Tobias Lindholm); Mads Mikkelsen was named Best Actor and Susse Wold Best Supporting Actress for the drama about a 40-year-old man in a small provincial town, who has finally recovered from a tough divorce, when a five-year-old kindergartener drops a remark accusing him of abusing her.

, portraying two Danish eccentrics, the lawyer Mogens Glistrup, a radical libertarian, and the hedonist capitalist Simon Spies, the king of charter travel, cashed in on four out of 13 nominations, while Danish director Nils MalmrosSorrow and Joy [+see also:

, considered in 10 categories, received the prize for Best Actress (Helle Fagralid). Most television awards were shared by two series. The Bridge II and Borgen III/Government III), from Danish pubcaster DR.
