The Unsaved is duking it out for the Best Film Award against Calin Peter Netzer’s Child’s Pose [+see also:

, winner of the Golden Bear at last year’s Berlinale and the favourite at the Gopos; Tudor Cristian Jurgiu’s The Japanese Dog [+see also:

. The five directors are competing for the Best Director Award.

Luminiţa Gheorghiu (Child’s Pose), Diana Avrămuţ (When Evening Falls on Bucharest or Metabolism), Ioana Flora (Déjà vu), Ioana Anastasia Anton (Miss Christina [+see also:

) and Ana Ularu (A Very Unsettled Summer [+see also:

) have a shot at winning the Best Actress Award, while Victor Rebengiuc (The Japanese Dog), Adrian Titieni (Domestic [+see also:
trailer
film profile

), Gheorghe Ifrim (Domestic), Igor Babiac (The Unsaved) and Dan Chiorean (Rocker) may win Best Actor.

With 13 nominations, The Unsaved is the most nominated film in this edition, followed by Adrian Sitaru’s Domestic and Marian Crişan’s Rocker, which have 11 nominations each; Child’s Pose has ten nominations, and The Japanese Dog has eight.

Child’s Pose is set to win the Audience Award, after becoming the most successful domestic release of the last decade, with more than 110,000 admissions. The Gopos will also present a prize for the Best European Film of 2013: Love [+see also:
