Superchondriac aiming to be super-successful
- Released by Pathé, the latest Dany Boon title is taking over theatres. Also appearing on screens are Danis Tanovic’s and Wes Anderson’s award-winning films from the Berlinale
Actor-director Dany Boon has maximised his chances of success for his fourth feature film as a director, Superchondriac [+see also:

Distributed by Pathé and with a very high print run of around 800 copies, the title’s other benchmarks include the results of Dany Boon’s last feature (Nothing to Declare [+see also:

“Hypochondria is not a typical topic for comedy, as it conjures up fairly negative ideas or characters, and you can exhaust the subject quickly,” highlighted Boon. “My idea was therefore to show how a hypochondriac lives, his difficulties in establishing human relations within society (...) I was interested in seeing how this guy would manage to find love despite his neurosis.” This is also a love that Doctor Dimitri Zvenka (Kad Merad) would like his patient to find in order to finally rid him of this ultra-intrusive client.
Also coming out this Wednesday are the two latest winners of the Jury Grand Prix at the Berlinale Festival. Zootrope Films is pinning its hopes on An Episode in the Life of an Iron Picker [+see also:
