Sofia Meetings announces Works in Progress

After selecting projects for the Second Feature Fiction Film, Projects in Bank and Plus Minus One (see news) categories, the industry section of the Sofia International Film Festival, Sofia Meetings (13-16 March), has announced its final segment, Works in Progress.

The selection comprises eight fiction films, six coming from Bulgaria and two from Serbia; and four documentaries from Bulgaria, including two co-productions.

Vesnakov, whose Pride, the last installment in a trilogy of short films, won the Grand Prix in the International Competition at Clermont-Ferrand this year; Panama, the feature debut by Serbia's Pavle Vučković, whose two short films picked up awards at Cannes Cinéfondation; The Judgement by Stephan Komandarev (also present with The Other Man in the Projects in Bank section), a co-production by Bulgaria's Argo Film, Germany's Neue Mediopolis Filmproduktion, Croatia-based Propeler Film and Macedonia's Sektor Film; and tech-thriller Travelator [+see also:
