Akerman's new comedy
Following the success she had with comedies like Golden Eighties (1985) and A Couch in New York (1996), Belgian filmmaker, Chantal Akerman is back with a new one entitled Demain on déménage. The film went into production on 3 April in Brussels where it is scheduled to wrap on 2 May, when the set will move to Paris until 22 May.
Akerman wrote the script with Eric de Kuyper, her writing partner on La captive, Demain on déménage stars Sylvie Testud, Aurore Clément, Jean-Pierre Marielle, Lucas Belvaux, Natacha Régnier, Dominique Reymond and Christian Hecq and is about the way in which a single woman called Charlotte, whose job it is to write erotic novels, tries to achieve this without getting too emotionally involved in her task.
This Franco-Belgian co-production was boarded by Marylin Watelet of Paradise Films, Branco Paulo of Gemini Film, RTBF, Canal+ Canal+, the CNC CNC and Belgium’s French community.
