Cross Video Days 2014 launches its call for projects

The professional cross-media market Cross Video Days, which will be held in Paris on June 19 and 20, launch its call for projects. The call is intended for innovative digital producers and creators who wish to bridge the financing gap of their multi-platform projects at an advanced stage of development, and increase their audience.

In order to take part in the Paris market, projects have to be submitted here before April 15. This year’s edition features a categorized call for projects. The first category is addressed to cinema & transmedia projects, in partnership with Cannes Film Market, which will also allow the selected works to be pitched in Cannes, on May 17. The second one is addressed to interactive factual projects, in partnership with La Rochelle’s Sunny Side of the Doc, which will give them the chance of being selected for the two programmes. The third one is addressed to projects related to education, animation & youth, and is held in collaboration with French studio KnightWorks.

Lastly, two other calls focus on one hand on web series & web fiction and on the other on cross-media TV shows. As well as the above categories, any creative, experimental and hard-to-classified projects, with an original dimension will also be welcome to enhance the selection. KnightWorks will also award a €10,000 grant to the best of the 50 projects presented in the market, across all categories.

Cross Video Days offer networking opportunities for innovative producers and creators, start-ups and Commissioning editors, creating together new ways of producing and broadcasting. With more than 900 participants and 350 projects submitted to 2013’s edition, Cross Video Days assert itself this year as one of the main audio-visual industry events in Europe.
