- The main screenings out of competition in the 13th edition at the Rome Independent Film Festival available in streaming on demand

From this year, some of the films selected for the RIFF will be available for viewing in people’s homes directly. The best films from the 13th edition of the Rome Independent Film Festival (16-23 March 2014) will be available on an on-demand streaming platform Romefilmmarket.com.
Among the films available on the platform (for a cost of €2.99): the documentary Viramundo: a journey with Gilberto Gil [+see also:

film profile] by Pierre-Yves Borgeaud, in which the musician goes on a new and original tour crossing the southern hemisphere, starting in Bahia, crossing the lands of the Australian Aboriginals, the townships of South Africa, and the Amazonian region of Brazil.
Another documentary: Lucciole per lanterne by Stefano and Mario Martone, which traces – jumping between past and present – the story of three women who tried to resist the privatization of water in Pinochet’s Chile in 1981.
Of further note is feature length, Il bastardo innocente, with Alessandro Parrello, Piero Maggiò, Caterina Silva, Emilia Verginelli, Laura Garofoli, Daniele Miglio, Osmin Lima Espinosa, Carmine Balducci, Lele Vannoli and Alfredo Angelini, directed by Igor Maltagliati.
The short category includes Lao, directed by Gabriele Sabatino Nardis, Alle corde by Andrea Simonetti and Dreaming Apecar by Dario Samuele Leone.
