On 12 May, filming for the screenwriter Baya Kasmi’s first feature-length film: Je suis à vous tout de suite [+see also:
film profile] will kick off. The cast includes Vimala Pons (nominated at the Lumière 2014 for best newcomer for La fille du 14 juillet [+see also:
film profile] and upcoming in Vincent), Mehdi Djaadi, Agnès Jaoui (Au bout du conte [+see also:
film profile]), Ramzy Bédia (Vandal [+see also:

Written by Baya Kasmi and Michel Leclerc (the César 2011 winning duo for Le nom des gens [+see also:
film profile]’ original screenplay), the screenplay (which won the Grand Prix 2013 jury prize for best screenplay) is focused around Hanna and Hakim. With a French mother and an Algerian father, they suffer - just like their parents do - from being too nice. Their incapacity to say no has led them down diametrically opposed paths. Today, Hanna and Hakim do everything they can to avoid each other, but a medical need forces them to spend time together again.
Baya Kasmi was the most recognised for her direction of short J'aurais pu être une pute, nominated for a César in 2012. She also recently co-wrote the screenplay for Hippocrate [+see also:

Produced by Antoine Rein and Fabrice Goldstein for Karé Productions and by Caroline Adrian for Delante Cinéma, Je suis à vous tout de suite was co-produced by France 2 Cinéma. Bought in advance by Canal+ and Ciné+, the feature length film is also supported by the Ile-de-France region, Sofica A+ Image and Soficinéma. Filming, which will last 43 days until July 5, will take place entirely in the Ile-de-France region, except for three days in Algeria. Distribution in France and international sales will be announced soon.
Delante Cinéma and Karé Productions currently hold Des lendemains qui chantent by Nicolas Castro (read the article) in post-production. The film will hit cinemas on August 13.
