in 2014), Alex O'Dogherty, Gines García Millán and Paula Cancio.

The plot, written by Querejeta herself together with Antonio Mercero, tells the story of Elia. Her 40th birthday is the perfect excuse for her to gather together a few friends and family members in a luxury cottage. There is something she needs to tell them: she is the sole winner of that week’s EuroMillions jackpot. From the moment the guests are made aware of the fact that Elia is the lucky recipient of the €140 million that just fell into her lap, the atmosphere begins to turn tense, and what initially appears to be shared joy gradually begins to turn into a greedy form of trickery with a view to ending up with Elia’s money.

As with her previous work, 15 años y un día, Felices 140 sees production being handled by Gerardo Herrero’s outfits – in this case, Hernández y Fernández PC and Tornasol Films – as well as Foresta Films and La Ignorancia de la Sangre AIE. The project also has backing from the ICAA, Canarias Cultura en Red and the Canary Islands Government.
