Arte airs A Boy called Carlo Giuliani

Franco-German TV network, Arte bought the rights to Francesca Comencini's graphic documentary, Carlo Giuliani, ragazzo about the events that lead up to the death of this young no-global protestor during last July's G8 Summit in Genoa.
Arte will broadcast the film on July 20, 2002, the first anniversary of Giuliani's death. Giuliani was shot during a particularly violent street battle by a 20-year old police officer. The documentary was presented in Cannes today and features a running narration by Giuliani's mother, Haidi. The film shows how one young man's tragedy came to symbolise a collective protest against the evils of globalization.
