Record number of 22 European Academy Award entries scheduled for EFP's LA Screenings

A record-breaking 22 films from across Europe (compared to 14 films in 2013 and ten in 2012) submitted for consideration as Best Foreign-language Film are scheduled to be showcased at European Film Promotion's LA screening series, which is running from 29 October until 10 November. Financial support comes from the MEDIA Programme (2007 - 2014) of the European Union and the participating EFP member organisations.

For the seventh year running, European Film Promotion is presenting a selection of European Academy Award entries with clear potential for US and wide international distribution. These European highlights of the year will include 1001 Grams [+see also:

by Paolo Virzi (Italy). Several films will be presented by attending talent, and many have already attracted attention at festivals and been celebrated by critics and audiences before they now enter the Foreign-language Film race at the Academy Awards.

EFP's screenings will be held at the Wilshire Screening Room in Beverly Hills. A record 83 countries have submitted films this year for consideration in the Foreign-language Film category for the 87th Academy Awards. More information about the screenings is available here.
