Europe leads the field
For the last nine weeks, European, and especially domestic productions, have been enjoying exceptional success at the Norwegian box office. The current top ten includes two of this year’s best-performing Norwegian features: Wolfsummer by Peder Nordlund, produced by Nordisk Film & TV AS (and seen to date by 185,964 people), and Pål Øie’s directorial debut, Wilderness, produced by Spleis AS and distributed by Oro Film. This film was seen by 135,288 people over a ten-week period.
Currently in its tenth week on general release, Wolfsummer is 4th in the Norwegian top ten and is holding up very well in the face of some stiff competition from strong US and UK productions like Johnny English [+see also:

Two more Norwegian titles made it into the top 15 this weekend: Svidd neger by Erik Smith Meyer and, for the 12th consecutive week, Olsenbanden Jr. går under vann directed by Arne Lindtner Næss.
