Welcome, Cinéma Plus!
A new company for film funding, Cinéma Plus has been set up on the lines of Wallimage, the Flemish institution that funds film production in Walloon.
Cinéma Plus is a creature of Cinéma Wallonie, an association that represents the overwhelming majority of the region’s film industry operators and of Namur Plus, an associated that was set up to develop new projects in the regional capital of Namur. The goal of Cinéma Plus is to promote film production in the region by offering producers new sets and locations. Similar initiatives already exist in various regions of Europe and as well as local productions, the aim is to pull in foreign filmmakers and create employment and training opportunities for the local population.
