Independent has sold UK rights for A Bollywoof Tale to Icon Film Distribution ahead of the American Film Market (AFM, November 5-12) in Los Angeles. To be directed by Frederik Du Chau (Underdog), the film that stars Kunal Nayyar (television’s The Big Bang Theory) is about a much-loved pet spaniel, with a comfortable family life in London, moving with his human family to Delhi, but when his crate is misplaced at Heathrow, he arrives on the other side of India in Kolkata. Principal photography will commence in London and India in early 2015.
Other titles Independent is representing at the AFM include Gerard Johnson’s provocative drama Hyena [+see also:

Films in production that Independent is representing at the AFM include Jim Jarmusch’s The Stooges, a film that will present the context of the iconic band’s emergence musically, culturally, politically and historically; and Brian Hill’s Confessions of Thomas Quick [+see also:

Attending AFM on behalf of Independent are Head of Sales Abigail Walsh and Sales Managers Sarah Lebutsch and Calum Gray.
