film profile], Agnès Jaoui’s second feature is currently in pre-production and filming is scheduled to begin on 30 June and end on 19 September.
Her 2001 debut film, Le gout des autres was seen by over 3.8million French filmgoers and won numerous awards. Jaoui has reconvened the same team of co-workers for Comme une image: as well as directing the film, Jaoui will also star in it opposite Jean-Pierre Bacri who also happens to have written the screenplay with her. The cast also includes Serge Riaboukine (Le temps du loup, Mondays in the Sun).
The film is about a group of people of different generations who are having problems coming to terms with themselves. The comparison of different lives was also a characteristic of Le gout des autres and like that film, Comme une image will also be produced by Les Films A4 in partnership with StudioCanal. Comme une image should be out in 2004.
