Paris is hosting a review dedicated to European cinema and cities from 10-18 May. Building on the success of the "Criminal Traces" festival of 2002 ECALIS (association of European cultural centres) has organised this review at the Institute of Finland and it will be hosted by actress Kati Outinen, winner of the best actress award at last year’s Cannes. The programme includes 9 European features and documentaries.
The selection includes the following films and cities: Helskinki and Histoires de la Saint Jean d’Esa Illi, Stockholm with Tica Tac by Daniel Alfredson, Oslo and Scphaa by Erik Poppe, Berlin’s Berlin Chamissoplatz by Rudolf Thome, London’s Room to Rent by Khalid el Hagar, Oporto’s Porto de mon enfance by Manoel de Oliveira, Barcelona En construccion by Jose-Luis Guerin, Amsterdam’s Amsterdam Global Village by Johan van der Keuken and the capital of Eire with Dublin : an Irish Youth by Nick Quinn.
