Czar.be opens to films
Set up three years ago and managed by Ruben Goots, Brussels-based advertising company Czar.be opened a film production arm called CCCP in September 2002, and managed by Arielle Sleutel, a very experienced producer of commercials and Bart van Langendonck, who also manages choreographer Wim Vandekeybus’ dance company, Ultima Vez.
Since its inception, CCCP has developed 15 major projects both by producers who habitually work with Czar and new talents like Wayn Traub (Maria-Dolores), Frédéric Brival (Hot Dogs), Koen Mortier (Ex-drummer), Bram Van Paesschen (Smokescreen Covering Brussels) and Lars Damoiseaux (Pink Devil).
As well as screening Maria-Dolores and Hot Dogs - both of which are works-in-progress, and outsourcing new projects, Bart Van Langendock will be one of the producers presented to the international market at Producers in the Move, an event organised by Flanders Image to launch some of Europe’s most promising coming talents.
