The selection procedure for choosing the new artistic director of Austria’s Diagonale Film Festival is almost complete and Ecker&Co Consultancy have pre-selected a list of candidates. According to Katharina Stourzh, the spokesperson of the State Secretary for the Arts, Franz Morak, they are film producer Dieter Pochlatko; Ingrid Haimböck, cultural affairs director of the Karajan Centre, and Reinhard Scolik, director of Programming at Austrian state broadcaster, ORF. The committee will express their opinion but the final choice is up to Minister Morak and the new director must in in-place before 1 July 2003.
