, which scored nine nominations each. The winners of the awards that are presented by Italian film journalists’ guild, SNGCI will be announced on Saturday 14 June during the closing ceremony of the Taormina BNL Film Fest.

The quality and number of films competing this year resulted in the organisers deciding to bend the rules: instead of the traditional five nominations in the best film, storyline, newcomer and screenplay categories, there are now six.
