16/09/2002 - European Film Promotion continues its excellent work promoting new European talent. After Berlin, the spotlight moves to the bright young stars at the EuropaCinema festival (14-21 September)

In February, 2002, during the Berlin International Film Festival, European Film Promotion (EFP) celebrated the fifth anniversary of “Shooting Stars”. The initiative is financially supported by the MEDIA Programme of the European Union. EFP is proud to expand the spotlight on a number of these talented “stars of tomorrow”, with the presentation of the Shooting Stars Touring Film Programme at the International Film Festival EuropaCinema . The event in Viareggio (September 14th – 21st) follows the recent presentation of the Shooting Stars Film Programme in Haugesund, Norway. The initiative brings a selected group of “Shooting Stars” and their films to the prestigious and highly regarded EuropaCinema Film Festival in Viareggio and will feature a press conference and reception in their honour.
In partnering with the Viareggio Film Festival in presenting a number of Europe's most talented newcomers to the film community, EFP seeks to broaden the international network for the actors and actresses, and thereby assist them in the development of their future careers.
